The DENSO Group formulates the EcoVision every 10 years as a long-term commitment toward environmental management and policies. At present, the Group is working in accordance with the DENSO EcoVision 2025 established in 2016.
Having achieved EcoVision 2015, DENSO has formulated EcoVision 2025 as a new action plan for realizing sustainable communities and societies by 2050. In addition to existing focus areas, three additional targets have been set to be achieved by 2025: ENERGY 1/2, CLEANx2, and GREENx2, known as "Target 3.”
To achieve these targets at the product, factory, associate and management levels, DENSO is promoting specific actions referred to collectively as "Action 10."

The Safety, Health, and Environment Committee meeting is held every month, chaired by the Senior Managing Executive Officer in charge of technology management, whereat safety and health initiatives, as well as environment-related policies and targets, are set, and priority activities and measures are discussed and followed up.

In order to demonstrate the high transparency of its environmental management, DENSO WAVE acquired ISO 14001 certification in 2007, and has renewed its certificate since then.
On October 1, 2013, DENSO WAVE joined the scope of the ISO 14001 certification of DENSO Corporation and began to act under its environmental management system, with the aim of enhancing control and efficiency among the Group companies. The ISO registration number of DENSO WAVE has been changed accordingly.

Control of chemical substances contained in electrical and electronic products has spread globally.
Sharing with our suppliers a range of standards related to chemical substances contained in products, we are promoting green procurement of components and materials we use, and are committed to complying with the contained chemical substance regulations in each country and region as exemplified by the RoHS Directive and the REACH Regulation in Europe.
Ensuring product safety is a prerequisite for pursuing quality improvement. In designing, developing, and manufacturing products, we are working on activities, for example, to further reduce risks in compliance with the product safety–related laws and regulations.
This is Denso Wave’s original mark to indicate the products’ compliance with the EU RoHS Directive.
Our response to the EU RoHS Directive is as follows.
Our products, which are classified as Category 3 “IT and telecommunications equipment” and Category 9 “Monitoring and control instruments including industrial monitoring and control instruments”, are required to comply with the Directive if sold in Europe.
Our Auto-ID products and Robotics products comply with the EU RoHS Directive (except for discontinued products).
